The Three-North Shelterbelt Program Monitoring and Management Information System (3N MOMIS) is a project implemented by the Three-North Program Bureau supported by the Gesellschaft f¨¹r Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) and the Gesellschaft f¨¹r Agrarprojekte (GFA). It aims at developing a state-of-the-art Monitoring and Management Information System to provide multi-sector data and information to support decision making of the Three-North Shelterbelt Program.
The Three-North Shelterbelt Program improves and maintains the natural resource base of the San Bei-Region through specific interventions and contributes substantial to poverty alleviation and nutrition safety of the local population. Over the last years the project successfully implemented activities to establish a monitoring and management information system in its pilot Provinces and Counties. It has been working in the field of capacity building and applying modern technology at all levels.
The project started in December 1999 and is planned for a duration of 6 years.
